{Coco Boudoir joins the fight} – winnipeg boudoir photography

There’s been a lot of fun and excitement happening at Coco Boudoir lately (and still to come) but we thought we would take a quick time out from all hoopla to talk about something a little more serious.

We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer in some way. Coco Boudoir is wanting to help win the battle. Since we’ve started our business, we have offered a percentage of all our session fees to the CBCF. We feel like we can to do more, so Coco Boudoir is looking for 12 women who are breast cancer survivors or who are currently fighting against breast cancer, to photograph for a special project that is near and dear to our hearts. Ultimately, we would like to hold a gala fundraiser event sometime in October, showcasing the strength and beauty of the women we photographed. All proceeds will be going to breast cancer. There will be plenty more details and info to follow including requests to local businesses to lend their expertise in making this event successful. The top 6! {Winnipeg Boudoir Photography}

It took a long time. It was painful. We yelled and fought…ok not really, we didn’t fight. BUT it was difficult to narrow down, an amazing 28 entries, to 6. We tried for 5 but in the end  we thought, “Hey, this is our contest we can have 6 if we want!!”  We did it and here are the women who we feel would best help us portray the image we want for Coco Boudoir. Thank you so much to everyone who entered. We know for some of you it took a lot of courage just to enter, because you were willing to put yourselves out there in this way, we are so grateful. As a thank you we want to extend a special offer to those who did enter. If you book a Coco Boudoir Signature Session before May 25th you will receive 25% off your session fee. Sessions must take place before August 31, 2011.

{Are you our Coco Signature Girl?} – Winnipeg Boudoir Photography

We are SO excited about this contest, and it’s a BIG one! We are in the search of our 2011 Coco Signature Girl…is it you?  One lucky lady will get to be our “It” girl for the remaining 2011 year. There is no one look we have in mind for the Coco Girl. We think ANYONE is eligible to be her. You do not have to be a certain size, age, colour, or shape. In the words of Bruno and P!nk, we think you are all perfect just the way you are!  You just need to have the desire to help us show the world that. Don’t be shy ladies, send in your entry! Every month, starting in June she will get her own Signature Session, that’s 7 sessions altogether! This gives us the opportunity to try out new props, sets, locations, hair, makeup, poses and any other ideas we have. Not only will she get bragging rights but at the end of the year she will receive a 10×10 Signature album with 40 images of her choosing.

If you think you have the gusto to be our Coco Signature Girl, then read on for all the details and rules for how to enter. No modelling experience needed. If you’re sitting here reading this thinking I could never do that, then we can gladly come over and give you the shake you need to join the contest. If that still doesn’t work, then at least tell all your gal pals about it! All previous clients are encouraged to enter. We want the opportunity to show you how beautiful you are, right now.

Details

• Must be wiling to sign a model release allowing Coco Boudoir to use your images for our blog/website and advertisement
• Must be available once a month for a photo session in the Winnipeg area.
• Must be 18 yrs of age or older

How to enter (3 easy steps)

• Step one: Like our facebook page and leave this comment “Coco Boudoir’s Signature Girl is going to me!”
• Step two: Leave the same comment on our blog
• Step three: Send us a recent photo of yourself to our email address, info@cocoboudoir.ca

All entries will be verified that the above steps have been taken. Contest starts today. All entries must be received by midnight, Monday, May 9 2011.

So how do we choose a winner? We’re letting our Coco followers choose! We will be choosing our top fav girls on Tuesday morning, May 10th, each of those girls will receive a 15 minute, 1 outfit, 1 set, mini session held on Saturday May 14th.

Images from the mini session will be shown on our blog May 24th.  All votes must be in by midnight May 30th. The big announcement of our Coco Signature girl will be made Tuesday May 31!!!
